Moon: Time for Seoul, Pyongyang to restart talks

South Korean President Moon Jae-in stated on Tuesday that "the time is approaching again" for Seoul and Pyongyang to "end long deliberation and restart dialogue" despite still existing "external conditions and realistic restraints."

Speaking on the occasion of the third anniversary of the Panmunjom Declaration for Peace, Prosperity and Reunification of the Korean Peninsula, which he signed in 2018 together with North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un, Moon noted that "the path of peace, promised in the declaration, cannot be reversed under any circumstance."

Moon's comments come shortly after the South Korean Ministry of Unification said Seoul and Pyongyang should continue the talks about peace in the peninsula "at all levels."
