Tanker spills oil in Yellow Sea - Chinese authorities

Liberia-flagged tanker A Symphony spilled oil in the Yellow Sea on Tuesday, the Chinese Shandong Maritime Safety Administration stated.

According to the Chinese authorities, the incident happened following a collision with bulk carrier Sa Justice, which led to the tanker spilling a part of the one million barrels of oil it was carrying. Local experts have been deployed to contain the spill.

The vessel's technical manager Goodwood Ship Management said that the crew didn't suffer any injuries in the incident.
