Boeing's Q1 revenues fall 10% YoY to $15.2B

The Boeing Company reported on Wednesday that its revenues in the first quarter of fiscal 2021 stood at $15.2 billion, a figure 10% lower in comparison to the corresponding time span a year ago.

Net loss amounted to $561 million in the first trimester, declining $80 million from 12 months ago. Loss per share decreased from $1.11 in the first three-month period of 2020 to $0.92 in the same timeframe in 2021 and loss from operations landed at $83 million, significantly down from $1.36 billion recorded in the opening quarter of the previous year.

"While the global pandemic continues to challenge the overall market environment, we view 2021 as a key inflection point for our industry as vaccine distribution accelerates and we work together across government and industry to help enable a robust recovery," President and CEO Dave Calhoun noted.

The company's shares were 0.94% lower in premarket trade following the release of the report.
