EIA: US crude inventories up by 0.1 million barrels

Crude oil stockpiles in the United States increased by 0.1 million to 493.1 million barrels in the week ending April 23, the US Energy Information Administration said in its weekly report on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, crude oil imports averaged 6.6 million barrels per day last week, up by 1.2 million barrels compared to the previous week. Gasoline production averaged 9.6 million barrels per day, according to the report.

Crude oil refinery inputs averaged 15 million barrels per day during the same week, 253,000 barrels per day more than the previous week’s average. Finally, the EIA said that refineries operated at 85.4% of their operable capacity in the same period.
