Boeing delays 737 Max deliveries over electrical issue

Boeing Chief Executive Dave Calhoun revealed on Wednesday that the company has temporarily halted deliveries of its 737 Max plane due to an electrical issue that led to the grounding of over 100 aircraft worldwide earlier in April.

Speaking for CNBC, Calhoun said that the repairs took longer than expected and that deliveries will therefore be delayed, but will eventually catch up over the course of 2021.

Boeing's stocks plunged 3.36% to $234.27 per share at 12:24 pm ET following the news.
