Palladium reaches new record high

The price of palladium reached new heights on Thursday with a record of $2,980.08 per ounce, before pairing the spike to 2,969.35 at 8:38 am ET.

The news comes on the heels of strong revenues from car manufactures, particularly Tesla and Ford, despite potential problems with production due to the chip shortage.

Gold decreased 0.10% at 8:42 am ET trading for $1,779.86 per ounce, while silver jumped 0.83% a minute later to $26.41 per ounce. Platinum also climbed to $1,224.99 per ounce increasing 0.24% at 8:44 am ET.
