Buffett: I'd have no issue owning Chevron

Billionaire investor Warren Buffett said on Saturday that he'd have nothing against owning oil company Chevron despite criticism against fossil fuel companies due to their impact on the environment and climate change.

"Chevron is not an evil company in the least, and I have no compunction about owning it in the least, about owning Chevron. And if we owned the entire business I would not feel uncomfortable about being in that business," Buffett stated at Berkshire Hathaway's annual shareholder meeting.

In other comments, the Oracle of Omaha said that 85% of the US economy is "running in super high gear" at the moment thanks to support from the Federal Reserve and fiscal stimulus.
