Judge orders Tesla to provide documents on Musk compensation - report

A Delaware judge has ordered Tesla Inc. to turn over documents surrounding a 2018 compensation plan that financially benefited CEO Elon Musk, The Associated Press reported.

The documents allegedly detail communications between Musk and Tesla's in-house counsel ahead of the board's approval of the plan from which Musk earned $50 billion. Attorneys for shareholders have demanded the release of the documents.

The company's stockholders have accused Musk of wasting corporate assets and approving a massive compensation plan crafted by Tesla's in-house counsel, Todd Maron, and deputy in-house counsel, Jonathan Chang without board approval.
