Palladium climbs to fresh record high

The price of palladium continued to grow on Tuesday as the metal reached a new record high of $3,018.80 per ounce.

Palladium is used in catalytic converters to prevent the emission of harmful gases in gasoline vehicles and is in short supply globally.

Spot palladium rose 1.32% to go for 3,104.68 per ounce at 7:34 am ET and platinum gained 1% to sell for $1,245.15 per ounce at 7:35 am ET. On the other hand, gold fell 0.57% to $1,782.84 per ounce and silver was down 0.24% to $26.84 per ounce at the same time.
