SpaceX lands Starship SN15 after high-altitude test

SpaceX has commemorated its 19th anniversary by successfully landing its Starship serial number 15 (SN15) rocket launched from the company's Starbase in Texas and completing the prototype's fifth high-altitude suborbital flight test.

Powered through ascent by three Raptor engines, the rocket flew approximately 10 kilometers over the Texas Gulf Coast with an enhanced avionics suite, an updated propellant architecture, and a new engine design.

The rocket landed successfully on a concrete pad, marking the second time the Starship didn't explode upon impact and the first time the prototype was successfully launched and landed.
