Oil prices climb after attack on fuel pipeline

Crude prices gained on Monday after the largest fuel pipeline in the United States was shut down over a ransomware cyberattack.

The Colonial Pipeline, which transports 2.5 million barrels of fuel a day, halted all operations following Friday's attack and was being assisted by the White House to tackle supply issues.

Brent for July delivery was up 0.76% to $68.83 per barrel at 2:15 am ET. Meanwhile, West Texas Intermediate for June settlements gained 0.69% to $65.35 per barrel.
