Tesla found guilty of stifling charging speed - report

A court in Norway has ruled that Tesla Inc. used a software update to throttle battery capacity and charging speed in its vehicles, Electrek reported on Monday.

The automaker will reportedly need to pay $16,000 to all the Norwegian owners who suffered from the slowdown. According to the news website, the only cars that were affected by the update are Model S and Model X vehicles with 85 kWh battery packs.

The car manufacturer is facing similar lawsuits in other countries, including the United States.
