US oil inventories down by 0.44 million barrels - report

Crude inventories in the United States decreased by 0.439 million barrels compared to last week, according to private data reportedly published by the American Petroleum Institute (API) on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, gasoline inventories were down by 1.986 million barrels, while its distillate reserves decreased by 5.137 million barrels over the same week.

Oil prices were up following the report, with Brent delivery for July staying increasing 0.23% to sell for $68.61 per barrel at 4:32 pm ET and West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for settlements in July rising 0.09% to go for $66.04 per barrel concurrently.
