Amazon Web Services VP leaves company - report

Amazon Web Services Vice President Larry Augustin left the company, unnamed sources with knowledge of the issue told Business Insider.

Augustin joined Amazon two years ago with the plan to spearhead the company's efforts concerning cloud applications and open-source software.

He founded VA Linux in 1993, guiding it through at then-record-breaking initial public offering process in 1999. He exited the firm, now a Gamestop Corp. subsidiary called Geeknet Inc., in 2002. Augustin then held various senior posts at software company SugarCRM, including the CEO role, from 2005 to 2019.
