US shares rise premarket after jobs report

US shares pushed higher during late premarket trading on Friday following the latest nonfarm payrolls report. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, nonfarm payrolls increased by 559,000 in May, below estimates, while the unemployment rate fell to 5.8% from 6.1%.

The weaker-than-expected figure reassured investors that the Federal Reserve still hasn't reached the point when it will begin discussing plans for reducing its bond purchases.

The Dow Jones was up 0.26% or 88 points at 8:35 am ET. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 climbed 0.43%. The Nasdaq 100 was up 0.50% at the same time.
