US opens mixed as G7 agrees on global tax

Stock indexes in the United States opened mixed on Monday after the G7 nations expressed support for a minimum global corporate tax of "at least 15% operated on a country-by-country basis." US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said the tax will "help the global economy thrive, by leveling the playing field for businesses and encouraging countries to compete on positive bases." Meanwhile, unemployment in the US dropped to 5.8% in May with the addition of 559,000 jobs.

The Dow Jones started the week gaining 0.17%. Visa Inc. led the gains with 1.46%. The S&P 500 was flat at 9:30 am ET. The Nasdaq 100 dropped 0.20% at the same time, as Pinduoduo decreased by 2.79%.

The euro traded just 0.06% higher against the dollar, going for 1.21731 at 9:31 am ET.
