Europe closes mostly higher on economic recovery reports

Major European markets closed mostly higher on Monday as positive data reports spark optimism. Sentix revealed that the investor confidence index in June saw the highest monthly growth since February 2018. Meanwhile, Germany's factory orders failed expectations by losing 0.2% compared to the last month, but year on year the figure still rose by 78.9%.

The DAX closed with 0.10% below the flatline led by Linde dropping by 2.97%. FTSE 100 gained 0.12% with Bt Group jumping 3.67%, while CAC 40 grew by 0.43% as Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield rose by 2.60%.

The euro advanced by 0.24% against the dollar exchanging hands for $1.21961 at 5:32 pm CET, at the same time the British pound increased by 0.13% trading for $1.41774.
