UK ratified as part of OECD Arrangement

The United Kingdom announced on Tuesday that it has officially joined the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Arrangement on Officially Supported Export Credits, as the country ramps up its post-Brexit international agreements.

Prior to Brexit, the UK was officially represented in the Arrangement by the European Commission, alongside other European Union Member States, under the "common commercial policy," but following this announcement the country will now hold an independent seat.

Additionally, the government also stated that UK Export Finance, the country's credit agency, will "continue to play its part in meetings of Arrangement subgroups," and that the deal also means the UK joining the OECD Aircraft Sector Understanding, dealing with export credits to civilian aircraft.
