Europe closes mixed with data, EC budget in focus

European stock markets finished trading mixed on Tuesday as investors analyzed today's data on European Union's GDP, and Germany's economic sentiment and industrial production. Additionally, the European Commission unveiled its €167.8 budget proposal for 2022. Meanwhile, the United Kingdom officially joined the OECD Arrangement on export credits.

The FTSE 100 was up 0.25%. while the CAC 40 grew 0.11%. Intermediate Capital Group plc was the best performer on the British index with a 5.94% rise, while Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE jumped 5.99% on the French. The DAX fell 0.23%, with Covestro AG losing 2.48%.

The euro was flat against the greenback at 5:29 pm CET, selling for 1.21804. The pound fell 0.26% at the same time, changing hands for 1.41456 dollars.
