Japan to offer COVID jab to all citizens by October - Suga

All Japanese citizens will be able to get a COVID-19 vaccine by October or November, 2021, country's Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga (pictured) stated on Wednesday.

Answering the questions at a press conference, Suga touched on the country's plans regarding the economic recovery from the crisis, stating that the government intends to use budget reserves and unused assets for the announced economic measures.

Japanese Economy Minister Yasutoshi Nishimura underlined earlier this week that the government stands ready to continue the fiscal stimulus needed for the revitalization of the economic activity in the country. Considering the vaccine rollout, Japan has, so far, vaccinated a little more than 10% of its population with the first dose of the jab.
