Biden admin taking steps to fight voter suppression - Harris

United States Vice-President Kamala Harris said that the Biden administration is looking to take steps to protect American's voting rights.

"History has shown that when more Americans are able to vote, our democracy is stronger. That’s why our Administration is taking unprecedented action to defend the fundamental right to vote," said Harris.

The vice president explained that the head of state is fighting for legislation, including The For the People Act, that would stop voter suppression. The proposal in question calls for the states to expand access to mail-in voting, offer at least 15 days of early voting, as well as same-day registration, and is opposed by most Republican lawmakers.
