Airbus-Boeing dispute to be settled on June 15 - report

The European Union and the United States are nearing an agreement to put an end to a subsidies dispute involving Airbus SE and The Boeing Company, the Financial Times reported, citing anonymous officials familiar with the discussions.

The deal to resolve the 17-year-long issue and potentially eliminate the reinstatement of punitive tariffs is expected to be finalized on June 15, during US President Joe Biden's visit to Brussels for an EU-US summit.

The agreement will reportedly be centered on introducing subsidy limits over a multi-year timeframe. The sources warned that the deal could still fall through.
