US mixed in premarket ahead of Fed interest rate decision

Equities in the United States traded in the mixed territory of Wednesday as traders awaited for the Federal Reserve's newest decision on interest rates and monetary policy statement. The focus will also be on President Joe Biden's meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, which will take place later in the day.

Earlier, the Western District of Louisiana District Court blocked Biden's decision to suspend new oil and gas leases on federal land and waters.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 0.13% at 4:30 am ET. At the same time, the S&P 500 declined by 0.09%. Meanwhile, the Nasdaq 100 stood flat. The euro traded in the flat territory in comparison to the dollar, selling for $1.21278 at 4:31 am ET.
