Biden trusts Pelosi on Capitol riot committee - WH

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki stated on Wednesday that United States President Joe Biden trusts US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi on her formation of a committee to investigate the January 6 Capitol insurrection.

Psaki noted that Pelosi is acting in an appropriate manner to follow up the failed bipartisan commission on the insurrection and that she has the right to decide those that will serve in the newly formed committee.

Additionally, Psaki also noted that Biden believes that Republicans could act in good faith on the January 6 committee, but she wouldn't commit whether including Republicans would be a boon to the initiative.
