Europe closes mixed after data

Major stock indexes in Europe finished the last trading session of the week mixed. European Central Bank's Andrea Enria stated that the worst part of the coronavirus pandemic is over. On data, Eurostat reported that industrial producer prices rose 1.3% in May. In business, Volvo Group said that its sales in the first half of 2021 jumped 41% per annum.

The FTSE 100 and the CAC 40 were virtually flat at the closing bell. In London, Informa plc was the best performer, climbing 3.51%, while Standard Chartered plc lost 2.12%. In Paris, STMicroelectronics NV advanced 2.23%, as Societe Generale dropped 2.47%. The DAX increased 0.30%, with Delivery Hero SE growing 3.48%.

The euro was unchanged versus the greenback, selling for 1.18459 at 5:29 pm CET. The pound gained 0.28% to sell for 1.37955 dollars at the same time.
