England confirms will scrap virus curbs on July 19
United Kingdom Health Secretary Sajid Javid (pictured) confirmed on Monday that the plan to lift most of the COVID-19 containment measures in England on July 19 will be implemented as planned.
Speaking before the UK parliament, Javid described the moment as "the right time to get" the "nation closer to normal life," adding that the plan to "move to the next stage of" the "roadmap on July the 19" remains in place.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson previously urged Britons to exercise caution amid the virus containment measure easement.
