No disagreements with Pfizer on booster jab - WH

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki stated on Monday that the administration's stance on booster shots of the coronavirus vaccine isn't in disagreement with the views shared by Pfizer Inc. on that issue.

Psaki noted that federal agencies are basing their assessments on larger swaths of data than what private companies may have and that its recommendations for moving forward will "not be based on data from a sole company." Additionally, she noted that the government is in contact with other chiefs of pharmaceutical firms on the issue of booster shots, adding that it is prepared to cover the potential booster shots in order to have "maximum optionality."

Last week, reports emerged that while Pfizer and the United States have differing views on the need for a third jab of the coronavirus vaccine, with Pfizer set to debrief US officials on their findings in that area later today.
