Coca-Cola's Q2 revenue at $101.1B, up by 42%
The Coca-Cola Company announced on Wednesday its net revenue in the second quarter of 2021 came in at $101.1 billion, which marks a rise of 42% in comparison to the same trimester last year. Its operating income saw annual growth of 52%, while its earnings per share (EPS) increased by 48% year-on-year to $0.61 per share. All the figures exceeded analysts' expectations.
"Our results in the second quarter show how our business is rebounding faster than the overall economic recovery, led by our accelerated transformation," the company's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) James Quincey said. "We are better equipped than ever to win in this growing, vibrant industry and to accelerate value creation for our stakeholders."
Following the release of the report, Coca-Cola's shares rose by 2.54% in the premarket trading session.
