Ryanair's revenue almost triples in Q1

Ryanair Holdings plc reported on Monday that its total operating revenues reached €371 million in the first quarter of fiscal 2022 after soaring 196% from the same timespan in the prior year. Compared to the first trimester in 2021, the number of customers soared from 500,000 to 8.1 million.

Net loss grew 47% on an annual basis to stand at €273 million in the quarter that ended on June 30, 2021, while operating loss amounted to €305 million, up 62% year on year. Diluted loss per ordinary share landed at €0.24, rising 42% from the first three months of fiscal 2021.

"Based on current... bookings, we expect traffic to rise from over 5 [million] in June to almost 9 [million] in July, and over 10 [million] in [August], as long as there are no further Covid setbacks in Europe," the airline said in the press release.
