US construction spending up 0.1% in June

Construction spending in the United States rose just 0.1% in June compared to the previous month, according to the latest data released by the Census Bureau on Monday.

Spending in construction was valued at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $1,552.2 billion. In comparison with June 2020, the figure is up by 8.2%.

Investment in private construction increased by 0.4% month-on-month to $1,215.2 billion, while public construction spending fell 1.2% to $337 billion.
