NY Gov. Cuomo refuses to resign following AG report

Andrew Cuomo, the Governor of the New York state, made a statement on Tuesday saying he will not resign from his office despite the release of an independent investigation by the New York Attorney General confirming Cuomo's harassing actions towards female coworkers.

In a video statement, Cuomo addressed the allegations, apologized for the misunderstandings and insisted that the facts are portrayed differently from the way they actually played out. Governor explained his behavior as a way "of doing friendly banter".

Prior to the release of the report, political officials urged Cuomo to step down from his position, while US President Joe Biden stated that if the allegations are proven to be true, then the New York Governor will have to resign.
