Lack of data on Sputnik V 'raises questions' - Von der Leyen

The fact that the manufacturer of the Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine hasn't been able to provide the European Medicines Agency (EMA) with sufficient data on the jab's efficacy and safety "raises questions," European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen (pictured) stated on Wednesday.

"It has become very quiet around Sputnik V. The EMA application has been submitted for a long time," Von der Leyen explained in an interview with RedaktionsNetzwerk Deutschland.

Earlier this week, European Commission made the San Marino vaccination certificate valid throughout the European Union, marking a potentially important milestone for Sputnik, as approximately 90% of Sammarineses have been given the Russian shot.
