EIA: Crude oil inventories in US up by 3.6M barrels

Commercial crude oil stockpiles in the United States increased by 3.63 million barrels to 439.2 million barrels in the week ending July 30, the US Energy Information Administration reported on Wednesday.

At the same time, crude oil imports averaged 6.4 million barrels per day last week, which is a weekly drop of 75,000 barrels. Gasoline production increased to 10.2 million barrels per day. Total commercial petroleum inventories declined by 1.2 million barrels last week.

Lastly, crude oil refinery inputs in the US averaged 15.9 million barrels per day, increasing by 46,000 barrels per day when compared to the average registered the previous week. Refineries operated at 91.3% of their operable capacity.
