Credit Agricole books €5.82B in revenues in Q2

Credit Agricole S.A's earnings per share (EPS) stood at €0.60 in the second quarter of 2021, marking a 97.1% increase compared to the same time the year before, the company’s report revealed on Thursday.

Revenues climbed to €5.82 billion from 2020's €4.89, while the net income rose from €1.08 billion to €2.33 billion in the same period. The financial services company booked total revenues of €18.35 billion in the first six months of the year, which is €1.89 billion more on a yearly basis. Net income increased to €4.97 billion from last year's €2.63 billion, while the EPS for the time period stood at €0.96, showing an increase from the previous result of €0.47.

"Not surprisingly, results are excellent this quarter, and have reached historic levels. Building upon its fundamental differences, the Group is at the forefront to respond to the major challenges of society," Credit Agricole CEO Philippe Brassac said.
