Germany's trade surplus up to €16.3 billion in June

Germany's non-adjusted foreign trade surplus rose from €12.3 billion recorded the month before to €16.3 billion in June, the country's Federal Statistical Office Destatis revealed in its report released on Monday. On a calendar and seasonally adjusted basis, the figure went up from €12.6 billion to €13.6 billion.

Exports grew by 1.3% month-on-month and 23.6% year-on-year to €118.7 billion. Meanwhile, imports expanded by 0.6% since the previous month and 27.0% in comparison to the same period last year to €102.4 billion.

In June 2021, Germany imported from the European Union goods in the value of €54.9 billion while exporting merchandise worth €64.5 billion. On an annual level, the first figure went up by 22.1% and the second one by 26.1%.
