European stocks close lower after ECB's minutes
Major stock markets in Europe finished Thursday's trading session below the flatline with the focus on European Central Bank's monetary policy meeting accounts. Meanwhile, SMMT reported that the United Kingdom produced in July the fewest cars since 1956.
The FTSE 100 ended 0.35% in the red. Melrose Industries plc was the worst performer on the index, sinking 3.29%. The DAX lost 0.42% as Delivery Hero SE dropped 3.21%. The CAC 40 slid 0.14% at the closing bell with ArcelorMittal S.A. falling 2.15%.
The euro was down 0.08% against the dollar at 5:29 pm CET, selling for 1.17621. At the same time, the pound declined 0.28% to 1.37261.
