Amazon to bring in-person medical care to more US cities

Tech giant Amazon is looking to bring in-person medical care to over 20 major cities in the United States this and next year, Business Insider reported on Tuesday.

The company's new primary-care business, Amazon Care, currently offers virtual care, allowing patients to video chat with physicians through an app. The in-person service entails dispatching a nurse to people's homes or offices for necessary "exams, tests and vaccines."

Amazon first started offering said health services to their own workers, subsequently opening the business for commercial use this summer. In-person care has so far been limited to Washington state, Washington DC and Baltimore, as well as cities like New York, Atlanta, Denver and Miami.
