Texas governor signs new voting bill

Texas Governor and Republican Greg Abbott signed on Tuesday the new voting bill in the largest federal state of the United States, bringing new changes that come as an aftermath of the 2020 presidential election.

The law has added new ID requirements for the voters, as well as rolled back early voting. At the same time, large Texas counties will have to live stream ballot counting from now on.

"Reforms are needed to the election laws of this state to ensure that fraud does not undermine the public confidence in the electoral process," the bill noted.
