BSEE: 77% of Gulf of Mexico US oil output still shut

United States Department of the Interior's Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) estimated on Thursday that 76.88%, or 1.4 million barrels per day (bpd), of the country's oil production in the Gulf of Mexico, remains shut-in due to Hurricane Ida.

The BSEE also revealed that 73, or 13.04%, of 560 oil and gas production platforms, and four, or 36.36%, of 11 rigs remain evacuated.

Meanwhile, 77.25% of US gas production in the area is still offline.
