Russia allocates $60M to make tourist spacecraft

Moscow will invest $60 million in the production of Soyuz spacecraft for tourist flights, as published on the state legal database on Thursday.

The funds were allocated to space company Glavkosmos, a subsidiary of state corporation Roscosmos, to produce a Soyuz 2.1 launch vehicle and Soyuz MS piloted cargo spacecraft by 2024.

Discussions are already underway with prospective space tourists, according to Glavkosmos boss Dmitry Loskutov.
