Afghan girls not allowed to attend secondary school

Teenage girls living in Afghanistan have not been able to return to secondary school on Saturday with the reopening of the classrooms due to the Taliban effectively imposing a ban on their attendance.

The new Afghan government previously allowed girls up to sixth grade to attend school, however, they will have to stay in classrooms without boys and be taught by female teachers. A similar rule was imposed regarding universities.
