Johnson to press Bezos on Amazon's tax record - report

United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson intends to address Inc.'s tax record when he sits down with the company's founder and former chief executive Jeff Bezos on Monday, the Downing Street said, according to The Guardian.

The two will meet on Monday as part of Johnson's three-day trip to the United States, where he is scheduled to address the United Nations general assembly and hold talks with US President Joe Biden.

In June, global policymakers crafted their international tax regime to make sure it covered Amazon, even though its profit margin is below the 10% proposed threshold for collecting tax.
