Iranian court upholds Zaghari-Ratcliffe sentence

An appeals court in Iran has confirmed the one-year prison sentence for British-Iranian aid worker Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, her lawyer stated on Saturday.

"The appeals court has approved the lower court's verdict without holding a hearing," the attorney said.

Zaghari-Ratcliffe was accused of "spreading propaganda." She previously already spent five years in an Iranian jail on charges that she was plotting against the country's regime.
