Samsung, Virgin Media to conduct joint 4G, 5G trials
Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. announced on Tuesday it will conduct 4G and 5G trials along with Virgin Media O2.
The goal of the examinations will be to "verify the capability and performance of Samsung's 4G and 5G network solutions in Virgin Media O2's commercial network." British Media and Data Minister Julia Lopez added the United Kingdom's government will invest £250 million in those trials to "put the UK at the forefront of 5G innovation."
The announcement comes shortly after Samsung presented its new foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G and Galaxy Z Flip3 5G.
