Booking's Q3 revenue at $4.7 billion after 77% rise

Booking Holdings Inc. unveiled on Wednesday that its revenue soared 77.1% in the third quarter of fiscal 2021, to come in at $4.67 billion. The company's net income dipped 3.99% on an annual basis to $769 million, translating to diluted earnings per share of $18.6.

Meanwhile, operating income amounted to $2.02 billion in the three months ending September, skyrocketing 539% from the same period last year.

"We are pleased to report another quarter of sequential improvement in room night trends, which was primarily driven by better results in Europe," Booking CEO Glenn Fogel commented.

The company's shares jumped over 6.5% in the after-hours trading, after the release.
