Dropbox Q3 revenue up 12.9% YoY to $550.2M

File hosting service Dropbox revealed its financial results for the third fiscal quarter of 2021 on Thursday, marking a 12.9% increase in revenue from the same period of last year to a total of $$550.2 million. The company's GAAP net income was $75.6 million, a 56% increase compared to $32.7 million in the same period last year.

Notably, the company's GAAP diluted earnings per share (EPS) attributable to common stockholders increased to $0.19, from the $0.08 reported at the same period last year. The number of paying users increased 7.5% to reach 16.49 million compared to the same period last year, putting the average revenue per paying user at $133.79, a 4.3% year-on-year increase.

"We shipped several new product experiences to help our customers with today’s challenges of distributed and remote work, and I’m confident in our future as we work toward our vision of building one organized place for content and all the workflows around it," Dropbox Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer Drew Houston said.
