EU court upholds Google's €2.4 billion fine

Court of Justice of the European Union's General Court ruled on Wednesday to back the European Commission's €2.4 billion fine against Google.

The initial decision found the internet behemoth guilty of abusing its dominant market position "by favoring its own comparison shopping service."

"By its judgment today, the General Court dismisses for the most part the action brought by the two companies, and upholds the fine imposed by the Commission," the ruling read. Earlier today, Google won a legal action in the United Kingdom worth over $4.3 billion.
