Germany's COVID-19 incidence at new high

Germany's COVID-19 incidence rate reached a new record high on Monday as the number of daily infections fell, the Robert Koch Institute stated. The country reached a seven-day incidence rate of 303 cases per 100,000 people.

Meanwhile, cases dropped to 23,607 in the last 24 hours, as the total number of infections since the start of the pandemic stood at 5,045,076. The death toll increased by 43, reaching 97,715 overall.
