EU car registrations drop 30% in October

Passenger car registrations dropped 30.1% in October in the European Union, according to a report by the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA) on Thursday.

Passenger car registrations in the bloc were down for the fourth consecutive month as 665,001 units were sold in the region, which is the lowest figure for the month of October since records began. When it comes to the four largest markets, Italy saw a 35.7% drop in registrations, Germany's registrations were down 34.9%, in France they slid 30.7% and in Spain 20.5%.

In the January-to-October period, demand for new passenger cars in the EU rose 2.2%.
