Greece announces new restrictions for unvaccinated

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced on Thursday new coronavirus-related restriction measures that will go into effect from next week for citizens not vaccinated against COVID-19.

Addressing the nation on television, Mitsotakis revealed that people who decided not to take the vaccine wouldn't be able to enter all public indoor spaces such as gyms, cinemas and museums from November 22.

The government's decision comes as Greece battles its worst coronavirus outbreak since the start of the pandemic, reporting between 6,500 and 7,000 new infections a day on average in recent times.
